Rachel Urban joins the Public Forum Faculty

The National Debate Forum would like to welcome Rachel Urban (PA) to the Public Forum Debate faculty. Rachel was one of the top public forum debaters in 2006-2007 and joined the National Speakers’ Forum faculty last summer. Rachel will be joining Mike Vigars, Jonathan Peele and Patrick Toomey this summer at NDF in the Public Forum Debate lab!

Jonathan Peele Joins the Public Forum Faculty

Jonathan Peele has just confirmed that he will be joining the Public Forum Debate faculty at the National Debate Forum, July 19th-August 2nd. Jonathan Peele is formerly from East Chapel Hill, NC and has coached many successful Public Forum Teams throughout the years. His expertise of the event and what it takes to win at tournaments across the country will enable any Public Forum Debater to take their skills to the next level, and then some! Welcome aboard, Mr. Peele!

National Debate Forum Introduces Public Forum Debate

The National Debate Forum will expand its programming opportunities to include Public Forum Debate. Under the direction of Mike Vigars (Trinity Prep, FL) and assisted by Patrick Toomey (NC), NDF will provide championship caliber instruction in Public Forum Debate from July 19th-August 2nd. Please check back in the next couple of weeks for additional faculty and program information.

Summit Debate Scholarships!

Summit Debate will be offering scholarships at several tournaments this year, including the Dowling Paradigm, Myers Park, ASU, Crestian and Harvard. These scholarships will be applied to the student’s final institute payment. For more information on scholarships and how they can be used at any of our institutes, please contact us.

Introducing Tim Case

NDF is thrilled to announce the addition of Tim Case to our staff. Tim is a superb addition to an already impressive staff. He comes to NDF as a former instructor at other institutes and coach of NCFL and NFL National Champions. Tim is admired among members of the community for his teaching, coaching and genuine interest in ensuring students have an enjoyable experience.

MBA Champ joins NDF

Shadman Zaman is going to be joining the NDF staff this summer! On top of winning MBA this year he has also won Glenbrooks and placed 5th at NCFL Nationals. Shadman has an impressive resume and we are pleased to announce he’ll be at NDF.

Outstanding Staff RETURN to NDF

Tom Evnen, Joe Vaughan, Ernie Rose, Tara Tedrow, Loren Eastlund, Dario Camara, Steffany Oravetz-Batik and Steve Schappaugh return to NDF to be full-time lab leaders and instructors. Chetan Hertzig returns to the institute part-time helping with lectures and lab. We are very excited about the return of such a strong nucleus of leaders, instructors and educators. These fine people, in addition to our new staff, (keep checking for more udpates) will make NDF 2008 the best institute experience available to students.
